Sully’s Story

Burgers and fries have always been more than just a meal for Chef Sully, they’re a lifelong passion. After earning his culinary degree from Metro Community College in 2010, he spent over a decade sharpening his skills as a cook, sous chef, and eventually executive chef at a country club and in corporate dining for a number of years. No matter the setting, Chef Sully has always approached food with thoughtfulness, creativity, and a whole lot of heart. But deep down, he always dreamed of opening his own place, serving the food he loves most: burgers and fries.

That dream simmered for years. In his off hours, Chef Sully dedicated himself to learning everything he could about the craft: devouring cookbooks, road-tripping to try burger joints across the country, and soaking up wisdom from culinary giants through books and podcasts. Every bite, every lesson, was fuel for what would become Sully’s.

With the launch of Sully’s food truck, he’s not just serving burgers, he’s setting a new standard. His goal? To shift the conversation in Omaha about what makes a truly great burger and fries. Inspired by his wife Grace’s passion for health-forward cooking, Sully’s is where real flavor starts with real ingredients. Every burger and fry is crafted with intention, using high-quality, health-conscious ingredients and time-honored cooking methods.

Our burgers feature Certified Piedmontese grass-fed, grass-finished beef, ground using a technique inspired by legendary chef Heston Blumenthal. This method, paired with Sully’s signature seasoning blend, creates a burger so juicy, it “eats more like a steak than a burger,” as Dan Hoppen of Restaurant Hoppen puts it. One bite, and you’ll see why customers often say, “That’s the best burger I’ve ever had.”

And then there are the fries. They’re not an afterthought, they’re in the name for a reason. Hand-cut, lacto-fermented in a three-day salt brine, and pre-blanched for the perfect crisp, our fries deliver incredible depth of flavor and a texture that’s golden on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Our fryers are gluten-free, and we use preservative-free beef tallow instead of seed oils for a cleaner, richer taste. Every batch is served with one of our signature house-made sauces, seed oil-free and bursting with craveable, chef-crafted flavor.

When he’s not manning the ship at the food truck, you’ll find Chef Sully on spontaneous road trips with Grace, playing board games with friends, diving into a good book, or staying active in their church community.
